What this site collects

No cookie is set and no account exists. Traffic is measured by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets neither cookie nor persistent identifier and cannot recognise you from one visit to the next: only aggregate figures (page views, country, device type) are produced.

The host also keeps technical logs (IP address, timestamp) for security and for keeping the service running, for a limited period of its own.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in measuring audience anonymously and keeping the site working.

What the software collects

Nothing. Rendering is local: your code, your files and your videos are transmitted to nobody, and no account is needed to use it.

Two outbound connections exist, and neither carries your work: the update check, which asks our file server whether a newer version exists; and, if you render a page that loads external resources (a font, a library), the requests that page makes itself, exactly as in a browser.

Purchase and licence

Payment is handled by the reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as seller and as data controller for payment data: we neither see nor store any card details.

We keep what is needed to issue and find a licence again: your email address, the licence id and its expiry date. Legal basis: performance of the contract. Retention: the life of the subscription, then three years for evidence and accounting obligations.

Emails

An address sent to join the waiting list is used only to announce that the sale is open, and is never passed on. It is erased on request, and at the latest once the announcement is made.

Emails you send us are kept for as long as it takes to answer, then archived for three years at most.

Recipients and transfers

The only third parties involved are the site’s host and the reseller, each for its own part. No data is sold, exchanged or used for advertising.

These providers may process data outside the European Union, on the basis of the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability. Write to contact@kompilestudio.com: an answer is owed within one month.

You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
